The Aniszko family are so great at scheduling milestone photography sessions for their kids and I love seeing how they grow and learn new things all the time. Grace is now 9 months old and much more active and expressive than last time I photographed her. Big brother Ian is 4 years old and was not very excited about pictures, but with some bribery from his parents we got a few good ones!
Time never seems to go as fast as when I do milestone photo session for babies! I’m grateful that my friends Mary and Aaron have wanted to document both their kids growth during the first year because it also gives me a day every three months to catch up with them. At six months old, Grace loves her pacifier and sucking on her bottom lip. Getting smiles smiles was difficult until big brother Ian came home from preschool and made her laugh :) Since it was an unseasonably warm day in February we also took a few pictures outside in their yard and of course had to get one of their dog/ first kid Toby.
In the past I have photographed the Klein family in the fall so I was excited when they chose to mix it up and do winter/ Christmas photos this year! I have always thought downtown Rockford does a great job decorating for the holidays and am glad I finally had a reason to take pictures there. The focus was just on photos of the kids rather then the whole family this time and though it was cold they toughed it out (and were bribed with candy) for almost an hour for this photo shoot :) I would definitely recommend this location next Christmas to anyone looking for some family pictures! Last weekend I had the joy of meeting two week old baby Cora and catching up with her big brother and big sister. The Kosters family have always been willing to let me photograph their big events from their wedding to pregnancy with baby #2 and family photos commemorating the move out of their first house. Although, neither Cora nor her older siblings were in the mood to have their picture taken I still managed to capture some sweet moments in between tears (all three kids were crying at one point) and I hope the big kids always love their little sister this much!
